I applied for a credit card and didn't think much of it but I got it with my name and underneath it states Business Account. I didn't think much of it but I have been using it for a while and noticed that the debt doesnt pull up on my credit report. Why is that? I'm guessing if you dont pay then it will affect your credit but why doesn't it show up on my credit report? My other credit cards show up but not my business one.

but see here is the thing. I DONT have a business. I received the application and I applied. I remember reading business on there but I thought it was something else. Like you can use the CC for business purchases...etc. But I dont have a business. How in the world did that happen?

Hi, there are possibly 2 scenarios:

1. If you used your social security number to apply for the card and the card is not reporting on your file, then chances are your CC company does not report...or its just taking a while to appear on your report (usually up to 3 months to update on all 3 CRA's).

2. Since this is a business CC, it will not appear on YOUR credit report but on your companies credit report...also known as "Business Credit."

Because it is owned and paid for by the company, although your name is on it, you are not responsible for the debt incurred
