There are NO good or SAFE OTC flea products...these products are ineffective and can be very dangerous..they can cause skin irritation, skin burns, neurological issues, seizures and death.....stick with safe flea products from your vet.
****Heartguard does NOT prevent fleas..it is a heartworm/worm medication only!!!!********

Stick with Frontline or Advantage. The rest is garbage, doesn't work and is more toxic to your dogs. Dawn gets the fleas off intially but does not keep them off.
If you want to buy it cheaper, try the Doctors Foster and Smith website. Much better prices. Don't use e-Bay - many scams there.

i think of Comfortis is the terrific element out on the marketplace good now. It kills each and all the fleas on him at the instant interior 30 minutes. you may actually see the fleas fall off loss of life. Then it keeps to artwork for a month. it relatively is a flavored chewable pill so no messy stuff on their fur or no longer understanding in case to procure it into the fur nicely sufficient.

The best thing I have ever found was Heartgard which is a heart worm medication but it also takes care of fleas. I realise how expensive it is to take care of pets but if you would put them on Heartgard You won't ever have a flea problem again. Believe me, the fact that you are spending all kinds of money and energy trying to get rid of the fleas can be alleviated if you put your dogs on this medication and use diazonon in your yard. But you have to get rid of the fleas first. I live outside of Austin Texas and believe me fleas will kick your a$$ here. Good luck.

If you can find it use a product called Biospot. $10 to $15 for 3 month supply. I've used it and several people I know have used it and it seems to work well.

Id try Advantage, you can get it through the vet's office. I'd get it there so it is the right dose for your dog.
