Yes, we are seeing prophesy being fulfilled at a
very rapid pace today.microchips could very well be leading up to the fulfillment of this prophesy.
I am looking for the Christ to call his saints away anytime.I am glad I'm a Christian.
Christians are exempt of this fear because they are already saved. It's the unbelievers that better take heed to the gospel of Jesus Christ.
God is serious!

It's a possibility. Any kind of information can be placed within this chip. It's possible that such an implant may be mandatory in the future for reasons of tracking individuals, phasing out cash, etc. If there is an Anti-Christ someday, then why would'nt he take advantage of this system?
The scary part of all this is that in Revelations, all those that take this mark are doomed in the eyes of God, with no redemption ever. In other words, damned if I do, and damned if I don't. Tough choice.

as it does not leave a mark, i do not see how it can be the mark of anything..
however there is no way that i or any in my family will willingly be chipped.
i have nothing to hide. however that does not mean that in the future i may not.
imagine this.
we chip everybody and can track them to within 2 feet of where they are.
then either our government becomes extreemly corrupt and starts regulateing our rights to the point where rebellion is called for. or the tech falls into the wrong hands, and suddenly our enemies know exactally what our troop movements are.
in the first case, this makes rebellion impossible because it would be imposssible to meet in secret anywhere.
the second would ba a military disaster...
now a more likely story...
some hacker plants a virus in the database that wipes our all of our bank accounts, or revokes our driving liscenses, or our key-card type passage into public buildings....chaos and anarchy ...

I don't like it either. It's a gross violation of privacy and stepping all over my ideas of human rights.
I believe the accepting the mark of the beast will be, at least for Christians, in obvious discord with what they believe. I choose to not worry about it.

Christina, excellent question. It is a real possibility that when the antichrist appears on the scene and forces people to take this "mark" without which no one can buy or sell, it may be in the form of a microchip.

Nope. Privacy and religion are two separate issues, and there are privacy issues with regards the deployment of RFID and surrounding technologies such as NFC and their potential for misuse. But it is not the mark of the beast.

I guess with the update of technology that the prophecies have to get updated too. Tattoos use to be the mark of the beast, but that's old school.

I'm aware of this theory. If we assume hypothetically that the Bible is true (I am an atheist) I find it very unlikely that anyone sane would consent to have a microchip implanted in themselves.
