Yes but don't allow the weapons. They should be put in army style barracks and made to do something that will aid the country. The law is too lenient with these type of people and something should be done to bring them under control but who knows what would happen if they all came together in the same place, would it enhance their behaviour and create super-gangs? It's difficult to know.

It is a bit radical, but I would say that a pair of years at an appropriate age in a "boot camp" would do no harm for a lot of young folks.
But we cannot be conscripting into the services, as that would disrupt further education plans, etc.

National service only existed in the war years (upto 1948) and from 1949-1960. There is not a long history of national service in the UK.

The trouble with conscript armies is they are full of people who are there because they have to be, not because they want to be. When called upon to fight conscripts often raise the white flag. Maybe making drunk hoodies cannon fodder is a good idea. I was neither a drunk nor a hoody and I would have never submitted to national service.
