The first one is more flashy, http://i180.photobucket.com/albums/x285/Jexa1984/plain-1.jpg. The second is more plain, http://i180.photobucket.com/albums/x285/Jexa1984/flashy-1.jpg. Which one do you think looks more like the ideal boxer? (I am also going to factor in personality, but I haven't met them yet)

Yay! I think I fixed it. Sorry about that. By the way, they are both girls, and whichever one I get, Im going to name Maggie, like the boxer Maggie Fitzgerald. What do you think?

The pics do not show up but..
Unless you are planning to show the dog in confirmation I would concentrate on temperament. You should be able to see at least one parent, and find out what kind of OFA rating the parents have ( to rule out hip dysplasia, done at 2 years of age). How does the dog react to loud noises, strangers, and children.
Research the boxer breed and find out the health problems and temperament problems common to them and then ask lots of questions. A reputable breeder will be open and will appreciate the questions.
Got the pics...
first one has wrinkles that look a little to deep (called wet), but has a very nice coat and decent markings.
second one has more than 1/3 of body white, which deviates from the breed standard and the coat is not very good.
Overall the first one is better.
verify breed standards for yourself at:

First, you need to make sure you get a health guarantee. You should have at least a week to get the pup to YOUR vet, not the breeders vets to be checked over. This needs to be in writing and signed by both parties. You may also have a clause in the contract that says if within a specified amount of time your dog is diagnosed with a congenital health issue the breeder will give you your money back, and at that time the pup may or may not go back to the breeder, depending on what exactly you want that clause to say. If the breeder has more than 2 dogs they are breeding, you really want to watch out. That means they are probably in it just for the money, and going to cut corners. YOU need to see where the dogs are kept. If is dirty and nasty, do not get the puppy. There are several health issues caused by unsanitary conditions and you can catch some things from a pup from bad conditions. You should see both parents, but it wouldn't be unheard of for the breed to show you a male dog that isn't the father. If you are getting a pure bred dog, you should receive the paperwork to get the pup AKC registered. Make sure the parents are vaccinated. Ask if the have had any genetic testing for brucellosis, hip dysplasia, etc. Ask to see proof. You may also ask to speak to the dogs veterinarian. Do not Do not use the same vet as the breeder unless you already have a relationship with that vet. Ask what specifically what vaccines the pup has received, and what dewormings (ask the name of the dewormer). Ask if the vet gave the deworming/vaccines or if the breeder did. If the breeder gave the shots/deworming it is likely the pups are not getting adequate veterinary care. Many breeders will vaccinate for everything under the sun, with crappy vaccines that they get from feed stores. They will vaccinate for things that pups do not need to be vaccinated for. Generally speaking the best way to get a pure bred pup is from an individual who breeds their dog once or twice because they wanted pups. Getting pups from big breeding establishments usually cost you a lot of money and heart ache.

I would go with the boxer puppy that has parents that are all genetically tested. Make sure the parents are heart tested using the Holter 24hr monitor. Boxers are known for heart problems. All females should be tested for this before being bred.Any reputable boxer breeder would do this. My mom breeds and shows boxers. All of her females have had this done, its very important. Heart issues in boxers usually can't be detected with a routine vet exam. The need to be monitored for 24hrs to pick up any abnormalities. If these breeders haven't tested at least their females for this, I would avoid getting a puppy from them. Its well known in the boxer world and they should have all been tested for this.

Based on appearance, I personally find the second one absolutely darling! They're both adorable, though. ^^ All boxers are.
Good for you for doing your research to find a reputable breeder. I wouldn't purchase the dog until you are able to meet him and examine his personality and behaviors, and remember to ask the breeder LOTS of questions about the dog. Have the answers you want him to give you in mind, and if anything appears skeptical, I'd find a different breeder. :)
This probably isn't news to you, though. I just like to spread the word of those stupid 'phony' breeders out there.
Good luck with your boxer!

They are both cute. I would go with whichever one's breeders do genetic testing and certification. Also whichever one makes you sign a no breed contract, and a 'return the dog to me if you ever don't want it' contract- those are signs of a good breeder. If they both do those then I would chose the first one- if neither does that than I would wait and find a good breeder.

Well, as a person who has grown up with boxers and have raised three of my own ( have now moved on to english bulldogs), I am a fan of the fawn/black mask little girl, she looks very much like mine did when he was around that age, he is now all gray mask as he is 11 yrs. old..lol..
Good luck in which ever one you choose, the boxer is just a great all around breed to have..

The pictures aren't working, but choose by personality, not by looks, you'll get a better pet.

Your links don't seem to be working.
I would go with the personality before looks unless you plan on showing him or her.
Good luck with your new puppy!!
