You need to run and definitely watch what you eat. Running (treadmill, on the street) is the quickest way to get in shape. Feel the burn.

It's usually hard for anyone to lose weight. And anyone CAN do it anyway. First, you really have to want to do it. Then you need to have a plan. You need to plan nutritious meals for your child, so just include yourself in the plan. Make sure that you have food on hand that you enjoy and that is easy to prepare. Be sure to have appropriate snacks on hand. I'm assuming you do know what a nutritious diet is. If you don't, please look it up either online or at the library. You should include regular exercise in your day. Walking your child to the park and running around after him COUNT as exercise. Make sure that you schedule enough sleep time. And avoid eating because you are tired. It won't make up for missed sleep and your body won't use calories it doesn't need. It will save them for later in an all too familiar form.

First off- cut out (or cut down) on the processed foods. They are too quickly used up and the body will 'crash'. Mix complex carbs (must have fiber), and lean proteins with each meal.
Eat smaller, more frequent meals. this helps regulate blood sugars levels all day, rather than leaving you starving by dinner.
Get out the stroller and walk! You don't have to run a marathon or kill yourself to get the benefits of a workout. Your child will also enjoy this time together. Just get the heart rate up. You might also want to check out dance videos, and let your child dance with you while you workout.
Use your child as a weight set. My son loved this. I would lie on my back, then lift him to the ceiling, saying "one-and-two-and-one-and-two" and he'd be giggling his butt off. I would also set him on my feet to help mommy do situps. He would often say "c'mon mommy! you can do it!"
Also don't think you have to do any diet or workout perfectly. the body isn't perfect either and would adjust accordingly. What you need to be is PERSISTANT. Trust me, give this a few weeks of walking and you'll have more energy
Take a multivitamin. This is essential when cutting back on calories. You dont want to rob your body of vital nutrition.
MAKE IT FUN! Go out in the yard and kick a ball around, run back and forth in the yard, go to the park- MOVE. You can do it, and your body (and your child) will thank you for it later.
;-)

Having a 2 year old is enough to make anybody tired. :) I know this probably isn't what you want to hear, but you have got to start exercising. The more you exercise, the more energy you will have. Also, don't forget to eat right. Get your daily servings of fruits and veggies. You may want to add a good multi-vitamin to your daily routine as well. It is a slow process, but you will feel better eventually.
Best of luck to you.

taking care of a two year old is enough to burn a lot of calories......but not if you intake much more calories than what you need.....ive come to realize its your daily habits of how much and what you eat at what time of day and all that stuff.......take the first and maybe most difficult step of eliminating any food that is not nutritional such as the typical "junk food" cookies chips frozen foods packaged intsant microwave food.....start eating more healthy first cereals beans rice friuts vegetables....some meat like fish poultry and sometimes red meat if you cant live without it......best thing to keep in mind is if your goin to actually use all the energy the food gives you....cuzz if you dont use it it then becomes the word we all dont like .....prolly didnt help you much but maybe it will spur some ideas haha not spark....if you eat mostly healthy and are over weight try to spread you r meals in smaller portions through out the day and target those body fat spots with lots of sweat haha....cuzz if you are sweating your burning then of course your losing or trimming that exxtra love cushion

Eat more fuits and vegetables.
The simple sugars in them are ones your body can turn directly into energy, you'll end up eating more frequently but less food overall, and if you have a vitamin deficiency you'll probably take care of that.
