What is the feature a car stereo have when it can tell you what song is being played on the radio?

When the song title, artist and the radio station scrolls across the screen.

It's called RDS--Radio Data System, but it only works if the station is broadcasting this information on the RDS feed. Not all radio stations use RDS the same way.

Some radio stations broadcast that to stock stereos in Florida I know.

Most aftermarket radios will display that kind of text for Satellite ready radios.
