So are Episcopalians,Lutherans and Presbyterians. I'm sorry if you've only known fundies; perhaps a better neighborhood?

No, sheep is just an analogy for people. Sheep are dumb and
need a Shepherd and we need our great Shepherd because
we are dumb and do stupid things. He is the Great Shepherd!
