It is high is fat, so it's best to give in small doses. I think it's safe, even the Kong dog toy company lists it in their recipes for stuffing toys. Also - there are many treats that come in peanut butter flavors.

My dog goes nuts when I take a rawhide bone and smear peanut butter on it. I've yet to find an animal that doesn't like it. The only way I set a mouse trap is to tie a little cloth on the trigger and smear it with peanut butter. It never fails.

Peanuts are 50% fat, and high in allergens so no, not healthy. Best to find a better treat for him!

It is safe, just don't over do it. Too much protein can cause some major weight issues.

It's okay but it adds fat so be careful of the quantity. My dogs too, love it and they are fine and happy.

I would suggest, personally, if you're going to give him anything that is out of the norm, just do it in moderation. Just NO CHOCOLATE. It is poison to dogs because their livers cannot process the theobromine.
