its poss able that your kitten has dry skin in that case you need to bath him in and oatmeal bath if its sever then go to the vet use a flea comb to remove the white spec from his fur if your kitten is at least 4weeks old he should be able to start on solid food no cows milk should be given to any cat some kittens will take longer than 4 weeks to start solid foods by the time they are 9 weeks old they should be on solid food and not need KRM

White things that aren't moving? Probably dandruff! There are mites called chyletiella that are whitish and don't really look like they're moving because they're so tiny. Perhaps you should go to a vet to check - we can't see what they are so we can't really tell.

How old is the kitten? Cats should be fully weaned between 6-8 weeks! Also, really hope you're not giving cow's milk - bad for cats, and they can't survive on this alone.

Start introducing soft kitten food immediately. Mix the milk in with it if you have to, but get the kitten on to it asap. It will eat if it's hungry. By 8 weeks old, the kitten should not need milk anymore unless it's stunted or ill (hope he's had a new-kitten check at a vets) - so if he's over 8 weeks old, just get him to eat kitten food until he's a year old.

EDIT: Flea eggs and larvae are microscopic, so it's won't be this. However you should still be reguarly treating your kitten for fleas with a product from a vets (not a pet shop) even if he's an indoor cat.

If its dandruff, you can feed your kitty some tuna. The oils in the fish are very good for its coat. I do this in the winter especially maybe once a month. Dont do it too often or too much (maybe a half a regular sized container) or it will get mushy butt. And your cat is old enough to eat solid food at 6-8 weeks. I cant think of anything else besides dandruff that would be white. Unless its rolling in something funny around the house? Try glitter to cover it up! Just kidding. I just thought of something. Could it be eggs from something? Does it look like flakes or round little things? I'm not sure what color the eggs are, you'd think they were white. Get out your magnifying glass!

If the white "things" look like flakes, then it is dandruff. However, if they are tiny specks or very tiny dots on the individual fur strands it could be mange.

Dandruff isn't bad, but if you are not careful it can mean major discomfort for your cat [a lot of scratching and itching] because dandruff is the result of dry, itchy skin. Call the vet to see about what they recommend doing about dandruff since I've never dealt with it on cats before. I heard oatmeal baths for them work nicely, but I'd check just in case.

Mange, this is a bad one. It can get progressively worse as it is left untreated. Your kitten's fur can fall out and cause major discomfort. It's a skin ailment and treatment is needed in order for it to go away. Also, it's very contagious. Before coming into contact with any other animals you need to take extra care in washing off or else the other animals can get it as well.

Also, please be aware that giving cow's milk to kittens or cats is very bad... They cannot digest the proteins properly and it can cause vomitting and diarreha. They make milk formulas especially for kittens and cats to give to them as a treat every now and then.

To wean the kitten away from milk, try giving them some wet food, and then mixing a bit of wet food in with some water.. Gradually increase the amount of water, and decrease the amount of wet food you mix in. Eventually you won't have to mix in any wet food.

Not sure about the white things, could it be just flaky skin? or bites from fleas? Can you brush the white things out? Regular (house) flies can lay eggs in an area that is infected, they are white and tiny. I would see a vet. You can blend small amounts of canned cat food in with the milk and the cat will start getting nutrition from the moist cat food.

your should probably call your vet because you never know what the white things could be, and usually people on here don't know as much as an expert (just saying). as for the milk, cats can have milk, but not too much of it. Try to stick with water and only give your cat milk every once in a while as a treat or something. good luck, hope your Kittie is OK!

It is possible your cat may have lice or unhatched flea larvae. I recommend using either advantage or Fontline plus flea control every 4 weeks to keep them at bay. It could be other parasites aswell so if your cat starts to loose fur in patches or gets irritated skin take him to your vet to get him checked out. As for the milk you should never feed a cat milk it is harmful to their system. The only milk they require is when they are feeding off their mother at 1-7weeks of age or being bottle fed a nutritional milk supplement. Older cats do not require milk, only a healthy full balanced biscuit diet brought from either a pet store or vet clinic.

Are the white things on his back? It is just dandruff-my cat has it all the time especially with all the air conditioning and stuff. There are rubs and soaps you can buy, but i have found that brushing my cat regularly with a metal tooth comb has helped alot. Also, i would start your cat on kitten food (or cat food if over a year) asap. ask your vet for a good brand and how much you should feed him to start off. My cat got super sick (like $1,000 vet bill sick) from a crappy brand of food. he is now a prescription food and is healthy, but had i known then....so ask the vet for a good brand and brush out the dander-good luck and congrats on the kitty!

I would call your vet asap about the white things. Never feed your cat milk...it gives them diarhea. Only water to drink for cats.
