a pervert is a freak gone off the deep end. if you're freaky, you like different stuff, variety. not necessarily bad. but if you're a pervert, you've gone too far with the weird, and into the disgusting, twisted stuff. never a good thing.

I think a freak is someone who is willing to try new things and experiment and a pervert is someone who is doing something wrong, such as watching people who don't know they are watching, anything that has to do with children, things of that nature.

Neither term is very flattering!
A "freak" is someone that can enjoy normal sexual activities but also gets turned on by some more risque ideas.
A "pervert" is someone that takes it over the line. He only enjoys bizarre sexual practices and sometimes borders on illegal.
