You can see the latest weather satellite images at the first source. Maybe not live to the second, but really recent.

And you can see the latest closeup images at the second source. Again, not live like the on the live news on the TV, but as recent as it gets. That is a commercial site and I think they want money for the best images. It is also not easy to find what you want there, IMO.

Live images from satellites are not available even to the CIA, because low Earth orbit satellites only pass over a given spot on the ground once every few days, and they pass over in just a minute or two. So the best you can expect for any one location on the ground is a snapshot once every few days.

You mean download them directly from the satellite? In general no, the data streams are encrypted. There are some public feeds from satellites like the NASA shuttle orbiters when they are up, you can get those on DSS dishes, I think. There are some other video feeds you can get from the older C-band satellite dishes (the big ones) but you have to build your own receiver. Also, those aren't images from space generally, but images from Earth transmitted through space.

Image streams from GOES weather satellites are public access, but you have to buy the antenna and receiver and stuff yourself. I'm not sure how specialized it is or whether an old c-band satellite TV dish antenna will work.

Most of the other imaging satellites (e.g., Thematic Mapper, or whatever its replacement is named (I lose track of which visible imaging birds are in orbit), especially the high-res ones are encrypted. I don't know of any public access data satellites (e.g., the DMSP system) but they might be out there.

Google earth will give some amazing pictures of your house or car but it is not in real time. They have initiated a program that will allow you to recognize a person or a license number. The technology doesn't exist to do this in real time, with a satellite.
