People don't need praise. However, a simple "Thank you for your service" to one of our outstanding men or women in uniform would be very welcome. The same for anyone who volunteers in his or her community to help children and seniors or the disabled. The world is sadly lacking in compassion and tolerance and people who help people instead of whining about things that everyone else endures.
