I'm curious how the majority of people view the gender (or lack thereof) of their supreme being.

I often refer to God as "He" because I've been culturally conditioned to do so, but I think that God most likely transcends the human concept of gender.

Deity is in and of all things and is, therefore, both and neither. Our culture has the majority of people believing in a male god with, perhaps, female aspects. The word 'god' itself if gender specific...
Since The Source is of and in all things, animate and inanimate in the entire Universe(s), then all that is, was and will be is also of all three genders, male, female and neutral. It is a shame the English language is so structured to have no clear set of neutral gender nouns or pronouns that refer to human beings or other organic forms of life...unlike some of the romance languages...

The God I worship is male, but I believe he is part of a unified Eternal Couple of equal power and glory. They (Heavenly Father and Mother) have their reasons for keeping Heavenly Mother a secret. Perhaps we couldn't handle the extra knowledge at the moment.

There's really no gender, but we generally call God a "He," but that might just be out of old male dominance habits (Don't get the idea i'm sexist...i'm talking about the PAST here lol)

God bless.

I believe men and women are both created in God's image, therefore God must have characteristics of both, but not limited to either. I believe God is spirit and to say "God is a man, or woman" is to make God in our image, which is idolatry. We have to be willing to affirm the uniqueness and "wholly otherness" of God.

Well, God is a spirit, but I think of Him as male because He is the heavenly father.

Definitely female. Even when I was a Catholic I thought god was a woman, I used to tell my mother that all the time, imagine her embarrassment when I would say it at church.

God is pure Spirit. He has no sex organs. He has emotional qualities that are stereotypically of both sexes. That is compassion (female) and strength (male).
