~Not really. You should be eating all of the above named food groups. As well as drinking plenty of water. (At least as much as your body can handle. 4-8 glasses a day.)
Tuna is an easy and smart choice. And 10lbs. in 2 weeks is very doable.

You aren't going to lose 10 pounds in two weeks, so you need to let that go and be good to your body. The best foods to cut out (permanently) are white breads, white rice, white pasta, and anything containing refined sugar. If you ate nothing except fruits, veggies, whole grains, and proteins you'd probably drop some weight without even trying. Other tips which really work is to not eat ANYTHING past 6pm, don't drink alcohol, and get some exercise. You don't have to hit the gym or go nuts- just a brisk 45 minute (or longer) walk each day will do you a world of good, and you'll burn at least 400+ calories too.
Be smart. It's not worth doing any lame crash diet. If you "need" to be a certain weight for some reason, change your habits permanently, and you'll never have to stress it.

Fruit will NOT slow weight loss, as long as it's fresh and unsweetened it should help.
Hmmm a good plan to lose 10 pounds in 2 weeks would be to completley cut out "white foods" (anything with white flour or white sugar in the first 5-7 ingredients), fried foods, fast foods, red meat, and pork. Drink a lot of water and decrease your portion size, try not to snack, but don't starve yourself. Also, try to hit the gym 3-7 times a week for at least 30 minutes a session, but again, don't overdo it.
Also, a cup of strong green tea in the morning (sweeten with a small amount of honey or brown sugar instead of white sugar) will kick-start your metabolism and give you lasting energy.
Good luck! :]

fruits wouldnt speed up weight loss simply because they are carbs...veggies and proteins are actually a good combo for weight loss. Unfortunately, 10 pounds in 2 weeks won't be all fat, and is a very unrealistic goal. the most fat a person can lose in one week w/out losing muscle is 1 pound. the 10 pounds will be about 5 pounds water weight, 3 pounds muscle, and 2 of fat. This "10 pounds in two weeks" result is assuming that you virtually starve yourself and do nonstop aerobic exercise. While this may be the only way to lose 10 pounds in 2 weeks, it will be extremely unhealthy and you'll probably look a lot less attractive after the two weeks. good luck.
Edit:
I was going to log off when i saw the comment above mine: "10 pounds in 2 weeks is very doable". I just want to stress ITS ALL WATER WEIGHT!!!! Your love handles will be exactly the same size, so will your thighs, you'll just get sick, dehydrated, and your arms will looks like noodles.

No, eating fruit and veggies actually help people lose weight.
Stick to eating good protein, like chicken and turkey. Beef isnt the best, because it takes 3 days for the body to digest.
10 lbs in two weeks is unlikely, and unsafe.

dont eat protein if you arent exercising... well, not in excess
you dont wanna crash diet, cause if you do that then your body will get used to it, and the next time you eat something fatty like cake or anything then it will have a much greater effect on you...
gd luck
