most credit card software online can verify if the number actually belongs to an account or if its fake.
All credit cards start with the same numbers depending on the logo - Visa is 4, Amex is 3 Mastercard is 5
etc.
You can't get into trouble for entering false data - you just won't be able to access what ever it was that needed verification.

If you just entered a obviously fake credit card the site would likely check the card and then say it was invalid. Would you get arrested? No. If you somehow came upon a valid credit card number, expiration date, and CVN number at random yes you could. But entering 1111 over and over no you won't.

I doubt it. Those sites have ties to the charge card companies and immediately verify the card number and status. That being said, I'd be careful about opening the door to people in dark suits.

Probably not. It will kick it back and not complete the sale. Their computer will probably think it was some quirky bug in the system anyway.

Your computer will get a virus, the paint will all dissolve off of your car, and your refrigerator will shut down. ;-}
Just kidding. No, nothing will happen.
