This dumb guy at my apartment complex won't leave me alone. I keep telling him that I don't want to talk to him, but he won't stop trying to talk to me. What is so hard to understand about the word "no"?

i hear you!!! i'm in the same situation..the guy is an absolute loser and i have told him 3x i have a boyfriend...he's embarassing himself.

Some people have a lot of emotion concerning that word. Some haven't matured emotionally past 2 years old, and still can't stand the fact that they can't get whatever they want whenever they want it.
Some take a rejection as calling them garbage, it reminds them of their already low self esteem. If you don't like them that means no one likes them. This cannot be tolerated by a person and he will try to deny it by denying the rejection.
Some want to resolve parental issues. As an adult they're still trying to prove to their parents that they do deserve the good things in life.
Remember the Radiohead song 'creep'. Some look at the world as full of special people, specially good or specially bad. When you reject him he thinks, oh, I'm the creep and she's the great special one. This is the way his mind works.
Of course, none of these things are your problem. Just some things that may be going on in his head.

Gosh, I would be annoyed as well. If I were you, I would let him know that if he doesn't stop asking you, you will file a complaint with the police. If he doesn't back off, call the police and file the report. People can be crazy, I wouldn't take any chances with this guy! Best wishes!

Oh Boy that happened to me a few times.They just don't get it.
Tell him No thank you you are dating an out of town man and he would not be happy with this situation OR tell him you feel he is stalking you and you will contact Police.
