Its called Lough Neagh pronounced Loch Nay. Mythology has it that Finn Mc Cool (a giant in Irish folklore) got annoyed about something and ripped out a chunk of the land and threw it into the Irish sea. The gap became Lough Neagh and the piece of land the Isle of Man.

Please note the word mythology!
