Well first off some of thoes things you can do yourself.
You might want to check out a book about cats/kittens at your local pet store or library.
Cutting your cats nails can be done with special scissors you can buy at the pet store in the cat isle, you can also use regular fingernail clippers but use them sideways and dont cut close to the pink part, thats the quick and it will bleed for a while if you do. If you do accidently cut the quick you can use things like baking soda or flour to stop the bleeding.
you can also give your cat a bath at home. When I first got my new kitten I would bathe her every two weeks to get her used to the water, now she is almost five and stands patiently while i wash her in the shower.
You can also shave your cat yourself, I dont see why you would need to if you brushed its fur everyday but if you needed to you can use hair clippers the ones for boys and be carefull, maybe ask your parents to help you.
The prices on an office visit to a vet varies depending on what place you take it too and how much each one charges, ususally they will have clinics that cost cheaper, and sometimes the animal shelter will spay or nuture for free.
Shots also vary on price and if you buy the "package" deal or not, personally I have a friend who is expierienced in giving animals shots so I buy mine from the local feed store, they have all the vaccienes that you need.
good luck I hope i helped!

First of all the Vet is ONLY for the 'medical/health' things ... when your cat is 'ill' or badly injured. For 'shots' you can go to most 'large pet stores' (they advertise when they have the 'shots' scheduled) and take your cat there. For both 'cleaning and cutting the claws' take the cat to a good 'pet groomer.' NEVER have your cat 'shaved' ... that 'fur' that looks so HOT to you is actually 'protecting your cat' from the HIGH HEAT of summer. Better to be sure your cat has FRESH WATER available in 2-3 places around the house, and has a 'shady, cool place' to lie down, stretch out, and have a good 'cat nap' AT ALL TIMES.
PLEASE GET YOUR CAT FIXED as soon as it is 'old enough' (5-6 months old) and NEVER let it 'outside' (unless you have a 'high' balcony that it can't 'jump' from) without a good harness and leash. Put the cat's license and rabies tag on the harness, but ONLY put the harness on when you are going out. NEVER put a 'neck collar' on your cat ...even those that 'stretch or break' can 'strangle a cat' if it gets 'caught' on something ...
Feed your cat NO MILK, and only 'cat food' with the 'very occasional' treat of 'people food.' NEVER let it 'chew on bones' ... especially chicken or pork bones, because they can 'splinter' and pierce a cat's 'insides' ...
LOVE YOUR CAT and 'play with it' daily ... and you'll have a 'good best friend' for the life of your 'very healthy and long lived cat.'

You'll have to ring your local vets for quotes.
Prices vary from country to country, area to area. They vary quite a lot, so you'd only get an accurate answer from actually phoning a vets.
Why would you want to clean it and shave it's fur though? Is it particularly matted???
You left out the cost for fleaing and worming and for neutering - essential for any pet cat or dog! Ask your vet about these, and ask for prices too. Neutering will be the most expensive, followed by vaccinations. It depends whether the cat is male or female as to how much the neutering costs too.

If you want to keep a pet healthy you will need a vet and have to have yearly checkups. The vet will give you prices on shaving called grooming. The checkup each year will consist of shots and please do not declaw. You can learn to trim from an early age so your cat gets used to you doing it. Sorry but it cost money to keep a pet healthy.

I've taken our cats to several diffrent vets and they all seem to charge differently. Shots are normally pretty cheap ($45.00 or so for a visit and the shots) and they'll usually clip your cats claws for free while you're there. If you want to clip your cat's claws normally though, you don't need to take it to the vet. Just buy a pair of clippers at your local pet store and get into the habit of clipping them yourself. He may resist at first, but will eventually get used to it. Just don't clip them too short.
If your cat is indoor's-only, you should never need to bathe it. I have 4 indoor cats and they're good at cleaning themselves. Likewise with shaving its hair. I've never done this to my cats. I do have friends who take their cats in for grooming and they are charged $35.00 per cat.
