First thing to do: get his teeth checked by a vet. Most of the time, bad breath is caused by bad teeth, particularly if the dog is more than a few years old. It's important to get dental problems sorted out as, quite apart from being painful for the dog (not that a dog or cat would ever show it) it can lead to serious bacterial infection, causing problems for other organs, especially the kidneys.
In the event that a vet gives your dog's teeth the all clear, there are products you can buy from pet stores that help with bad breath (like breath mints basically), in the rare occasion it isn't caused by dental problems.

80% of commercial fed dogs over the age of three have periodontal disease so it is worth getting this checked by your vet. Chis often have very crowded mouths so keeping teeth and gums can be a problem but the biggest cause of bad breath is bad diet.
Change your dog to a more natural diet including lots of raw meaty bones - even toy dogs love crunching through bones - and you will soon notice the difference.

First and maximum critically, it would desire to be a vet ingredient. next time the dogs is going in for a checkup, ask approximately her tooth. A broken tooth can create each form of mouth stink. additionally ask the vet what he/she thinks of the dogs's breath. consistent with danger some adjustment to her meals ordinary is so as. whether that is not a dental concern, there are chlorophyll biscuits, bones, chewies and different treats that would shrink undesirable breath. i don't comprehend how properly they paintings, yet provide them a try.

My dog loves Puppy Ziggies by the Kong dog toy company. They have alfalfa bits in them to help breath. They last a long time if you put them in a Kong stuffable toy. These things keep my dog busy for hours and I can get a break from her puppy ways.
They're available in multiple packs or in one packs if you just want to try one. They have them at PetSmart, Walmart, Target, and other independent pet stores.

In some pet stores, they have dog bones that cleans and freshens the dogs mouth. Try using one of those. They also have bones that when dogs chew on them, it cleans their teeth. I recommend getting one of those from the local pet store. Good luck! Here is a picture of a bone that does the job!

Get your dog some good 'chewy treats' ... don't give him 'rawhide' because that can 'strangle' a small dog ... but you can give him 'bones' (actually 'crackers' shaped like bones) or go to a 'really good pet food and toy store (they NEVER sell animals) and ask for the 'not rawhide' chews for 'tiny dogs' ...
You can also put a few drops of 'mint flavoring' into your dog's dinner ... only 2-3 'drops' and MIX IT IN WELL ... that also helps many dogs with 'bad breath problems' ...

Well I brush my dogs teeth. Your dog is a little chi, you need to teach him your alpha and he shouldn't be biting you. That is a behavior problem you are going to need to fix before it gets worse.
