How long should I be grounded ?

Ok, All I want to know is how long I should be grounded after I tell you everything bad I have done. Be aware I am only 13. Alright the first bad thing I have done Is I stole my brothers camera to make videos and post them on youtube. I forgot to delete the videos from the camera and now he has about 20 videos of me swearing to youtube. The second thing I have done is when I was in 4th grade I looked at porn. I kno that is funny but I was just curios. And I also have a myspace with nothing bad on it. I have never told them that I had a myspace though or youtube. Those are the bad things I have done. Just tell me how long I should be grounded if you were the parent. Okay thats all i wanted to know. Thanks for answering.

For stealing your brother's camera and making videos of yourself swearing: 1 Week (despite what you may think, no one enjoys seeing a child performing that kind of video)

For having an account on My Space when your parents said "no": 1/2 Week (there are good reasons WHY your parents shouldn't let you have an account on here, including viruses that get through to their computer)

For looking at porn in the 4th grade: 0 weeks (not sure why you mentioned that one)

TOTAL = 1.5 Weeks

Is "stole" the right word? I bet it never left the house. I'm guessing that you used it without permission. And you didn't harm it.

I'd ground you for a weekend, but I would understand some parents taking this more seriously.

I'd be upset with whoever tattled, giving me such old information. I'd have a talk with you, but no punishment for last year's doings.

I would make it clear that you don't sign up for anything like that without me knowing. But no punishment unless we'd already had an understanding about this sort of thing... what punishment would depend on how clearly the rules were stated...


So, no TV for a night and grounded for a weekend.

Oh, and I'd pull out all your fingernails with a pliers. (almost forgot)

Well, I don't really believe in grounding, young people need to stay active, I would come up with some work for you to do instead, but since you asked specifically, the old stuff is old stuff, ONE WEEK for stealing the camera. I don't know if they told you not to do myspace or youtube so I'll leave that out of the equation. Do things in an orderly way and follow the rules, it's a tough world out there and you need to prepare mentally now for it. All things in good time.

Well for starters you are still lying......... you need to tell the truth , tell your parents, start over......with no utube or myspace... I would say 6 months... you need to show your parents you can become responsible......... how about doing some work around the neighborhood, volunteering at a nursing home or church??? you need to wake up...... life doesnt always give you second chances...... so use this one........... get off your duff and tell your parents what you have done......then take the consequences........

You being a boy, hmmm, I would punish you for two weeks and your punishment would be, cleaning up the kitchen for one, and cleaning the basement, garage, or whatever room needs it the most for the other week.

Also, your brother would figure out your other punishment, seeing how it was HIS camera. yeay, that's fair.
