I am particulary interested in an Intelligence MOS and would like to be able to attend college while serving

I have been wanting to Join the service for sometime but have been nervous to decide on a branch. I scored a 118 on the ASVAB and because of that alot of people have been saying I should join the Airforce because they are "smater" (which I dont really believe....you only need a 39 if you have a highschool diploma) but I want to work hard; I dont want to sit a desk all day.....i'm single with no children so moving alot or being deployed is not an issue for me......The Army has quite a few Intelligence MOS's while the Airforce has only a few. I want to do whatever is best for my future career, not whatever is easiest.

Air Force.

The only way you'd be able to attend college WHILE serving would be night school, and that would be a problem if you suddenly deployed or transferred.

I suggest joining the USAF Reserves. Get your military training done, and then you do your one weekend a month and two weeks in the summer duty. You can transfer to active duty when your college is finished.

Army MI (Military Intelligence) deploys like everyone else so if college is a big concern you may consider Airforce but keep in mind Airforce promotions are the slowest in all the services and they are downsizing limiting your choices of assignments and pay upgrades.

I would say Army but I'm in the Army so I'm biased.

if you want to do Intel, and get a better education or for that matter be able to get college credits and attend courses while your in, go for the air force, the army is only better if you want to do something like being a ground ponder, or deploy more.

if you want to work hard the army would be the way to go. either or as long as you get the mos you want, either service is fine. the air force is more about luxury than work and basic is way easier. youll be able to attend college whichever service you chose

None of these people know what they are talking about. I have been in both. There are pros and cons to both. It depends on what is important to you. The air force is not, I repeat not smarter than the army. I am in the Army currently, I scored in the top 5 percent in the country on my SAT and LSAT. I love how people sterotype the different branches and know so little about them.

Depends on what you want...In my opinion Airforce is alot calmer and less dangerous and you will get to travel some really cool places...I have a friend in London..She loves it.
Hope it helps.

you sound like you don't really want to be in the military, but are buying the recruiters "college blah blah blah".......so i would definitely recommend the air force. if you join the army you will think back to this answer and remember it for four long years. also you should definitely give me best answer as this is the most important advise you've received in your life to this point....trust me.
