I have met a great guy on the intrernet. We have talked a lot and I want to meet him. I am an adult...45. I am not really afraid to meet him because I am smart about safety. But, is their anyway to truly know about him? I am guessing he could have been making up things but the guy next door could do the same thing. Does what I am saying make any sense?

Unfortunately, there isn't any way to know for sure. You do seem to have it together, so if you feel comfortable meeting up, then what do you have to lose? If he's a phony, you will know soon enough. Good luck, sweetie

It wouldn't hurt to do a search. Check out sites of prison records and sexual predators; look for marriage and divorce records; and the site Don'tDateHimGirl. If he claims he's in the military, union, police force or he's a doctor or lawyer, that would be easy to check. Google him. It never hurts to be cautious.

Ask some very direct and pointed questions, people can pretend to be anyone on the internet. Check him out on Google and peoplefinders.com - be sure to do your research, if he objects to some questioning, chances are he is hiding something. Be careful and good luck!

wow meet him at a place where a lot of people are .ask him what he will be wearing that way you can identify him and still run if you don't like the situation.if you don't want to meet the guy don't . it is that simple. go to Peoplesearch.com if you want to know more about someone

yes! Dont tell him where you live, EVER! Meet up with him and if he truly is a weirdo just make an excuse that you have to leave for an emergency! I know it seems childish but its the best suggestion I can come up with
