I generally take bottled sauce and add more stuff to my liking.
However, I agree... Sweet Baby Ray's Original is pretty good.
I generally like two brands - Sweet Baby Ray's (Original) and KC Masterpiece.
Edit...
Ah... you're cooking ribs... If you're making ribs, try using a dry rub and skip using the sauce. The smoke from the grill and the dry rub make for good ribs. The sauce is just a condiment to be used sparingly on the side.

I don't really like BBQ sauce much. But, I like Kraft Honey BBQ sauce alot for some reason. Sometimes I mix it with Country Sweet sauce, a little salt & pepper, and some onion & garlic powder. Good stuff.

Hello Boxermom (that's a neat handle !) :
Nothing wrong with adding 'Lea & Perrins' Worcestershire Sauce to your ribs before you start cooking them .
Then , sprinkle onion powder and garlic powder over the worcestershire ( also before cooking) .
Most people just cover the ribs ( before cooking ) with their favorite ketchup .
Instead of ketchup , my suggestion is to use Heinz '57 BB-Q Sauce . It 's the greatest tasting sauce to pour over an already bb-q 'ed steak , so , it sure shouldn't harm your ribs .
Give it a try both ways :- (1) pour it on before cooking , OR , (2) pour it on after your ribs are cooked or bbq 'ed .
Your palate will be pleasantly passified !

1 Cup ketchup, 1/4 cup Balsamic or cider vinegar, 1/4 cup molasses, a splash of lemon juice or lemonade plus garlic powder and onion powder to taste. You can also add a bit of brown sugar or maple syrup to boost sweetness a bit and just a dash or so of cayenne pepper for kick.
Adjust the ketchup, vinegar and molasses depending on your desire for which taste should dominate. Yum.

Cookies BBQ sauce! I think it's only available in the midwest, but you can get it online. I like the original the best.

Famous Dave's makes the best. They are based in Wisconsin, I think. I live in MN and they have a lot of restaurants around here. We can buy his sauce in the stores. Not sure if you can buy it where you live, but I have tried every variety he makes, and they are ALL EXCELLENT!! Though my favorite is Devil's Spit!! (Like the guy above mentioned.)
