I mean, the miners have been in there for days, and they are only now getting a camera and microphone. Don't you think they are expecting more? Or is this what they are prepared for?

My brother was an underground miner for 20 years. Yes, they go through all sorts of safety training, both when they begin their jobs and periodically throughout their careers.

Any miner in an accident is well aware that help could be days away.

I work on offshore drilling rigs...believe it or not...we are also considered "mining" to an extent.

And yes...disaster drills are very important. The work is hard, and it has it's risks. Being prepared for the risks is part of the training.

Yeah....they spend hours praying for more money, only to not get it. Then when they get trapped, they know through their training that it's no use praying.

well in the olden times i think they didnt get any train i think they had to learn by them selves, but i think now they do train them alot before they go to a mine...

They probably are supposed to, but who knows? Mining companies are notorious for not obeying safety rules. :(
