the wrap should be a little bit bigger so the other ring can fit in it.

Depends on the kind of wrap. However most of them are the same size. I have a ring wrap, it goes perfectly over it and is the same size as the other ring, it just does not come apart very often. Which is good because I do not loose one of them. Anyway, it is made so that the wrap part lays on top of the engagement ring, makes it look like it is attached to it. When you go to pick one out, try it with your ring and a few other. I know the ring I have did not fit on any other style then they style I have now.

What kind of wrap? One that just adds side stones should be the same size as it slides on your hand just like the ring. One that wraps around both sides, you put the ring up inside the wrap and slide them both on in one piece. But you need to try it on at the same time to make sure they line up right.

Now the point of a wrap is to make the ring look larger. But it's not the exact same size--my wedding band is just a slight bit smaller b/c it goes on the inside closest to your palm. The finger is thicker a little closer to the knuckles.

So can you clarify your question?

Same size. Take them to a jeweler and they can solder them together so they become one ring and then they won't always be coming apart and rubbing against one another doing damage.
