Oldsmobile Bravada air conditioning question?

I have a 98 bravada with automatic climate control air. It works fine until the outside temp reaches above 88 degrees.
What switch locks out the system when the pressure builds in the system.

The high pressure switch that is usually screwed onto the high pressure line that leads to the condensor.
