first of all, to "fall in love" is just an emotion. to stay in love is a choice, a lifestyle that you focus on every day.

and more than that, "love" is just a chemical reaction in your brain. science, isn't it romantic? they say you have no control over who you fall in love with, but you do control who you stay in love with. as far as being wise, yes, even the wisest of people can "fool around" with someone they enjoy being with, enjoy "sweet nothings" with that person, and eventually "fall into a pit" of love. every person wants to feel loved and appreciated, and if another person fills those needs, it is completely possible to come to love another person. it has nothing to do with age or wisdom, it has to do with how another human being makes you feel.

You sound a little bitter to me...when you actually fall in love it's one of the best things in the world! If you don't open your self up to it it will never happen for you:-)
