Christians have been screaming apocalypse for 2000 years… Don’t you think they ought to be getting a tad hoarse by now? It has got to feel like getting stood up for prom. It's 5:00 AM, your date ain't coming!

I know this is one of those, “How many licks does it take to get to the center of a Tootsie Pop?” questions.

LOL - My mom told us in the 70's that Jesus' return was coming any minute, I remember being depressed and giving up even planning out what I wanted to do after high school because I believed her. How retarded is THAT?

Well, from a new age prospective, the monotheistic religions are supposed to die out during the Age of Aquarius. The Age of Aquarius is supposed to reach its height somewhere 2600 CE. So, probably christians will keep looking for another 600 years or so, and then finally give up.

Of course, there's probably not much more reason to believe prophecies concerning the Age of Aquarius than there is reason to believe christian prophecies...

In Matthew 24, Jesus said that he would return before the current generation passed away. Since that was around 2000 years ago, we can be pretty certain that the generation of that time is long gone. So, unless Jesus was just yanking everyone's chain, he apparently returned a long, long time ago - and no one noticed.

Why does Jesus have to come on your time? How many years did the Jews Wait before He came the first time? Its not the kind of thing that happens overnight. Oh just so you know, there is plenty of evidence of the actual existence of Jesus Christ, he is acknowledged by EVERY credible historian, and if he isn't real christians have got to be really smart to set up this whole racket, the influence Jesus had on this world after teaching for only three years was so temendous that we even count the years based on His arrival on earth. Beat that atheism..................

Well Jesus didnt really write or teach about all of this Apocalypse and End of Times.

His message of Universal Love has brought him the respect of other religions, even Hindus acknowledge Jesus.

I don't think he will ever end, I just hope his message is condensed back to what it truly is which is Love.

Not judgemental hatred by the Christians.

The 'second coming' is metaphorical and has the same meaning as rebirth/resurrection.

Each of us is engaged in that process - or rather embattled - whether we know it or not. Whether we remember and return to our authentic Self or live a life in misery - at the mercy of our learned delusional ego - that is a question as old as time.

We each need a 'second coming' of our forgotten Christ (annointed) Self. Jesus only showed one way of achieving it - but there are many paths.

Come on, man, Jesus is a busy guy. He must have been delayed a little.
I, personally, will wait another 2000 years and if he is not here by then, I'll send him an email.

There will always be some that believe that a dead human being can return to life and save them from themselves and the world around them. I figured out he was a no-show a long time ago.

You are mistaken. The date is sure and the love vows exchanged.

His delay is a mercy to you to give time for repentance.

I am so confident that for your sake may He delay. (He did for me)

You don't have to feel so out in the cold, there could be room for you too. It is not a diappointment to give you more time. It would be a joy to have a bigger party.

Tootsie pop average is 252 licks per the tootsie pop web site.

Jesus however will come when you least expect Him.

Like a thief in the night (when you are unprepared and asleep)

Stay prepared, live your life, let your children live their lives prepared, and your grandchildren too. All will face the same throne of judment, and time matters not in comparison to eternity.
