I think they are fools, and will use any argument they can think of to rationalize their behaviour, when what they are doing is polluting their lungs, and destroying brain tissue.

I think it's a bad idea but it's their choice to smoke pot. However, pot smokers do not believe that what they are doing is bad because it feels so great. But, over time they become obsessed with smoking pot and end up being mindless being devoted to finding the next high. Unless you are able to smoke in moderation pot is going to be your stepping stone drug.

First of all, I don't judge people just because we don't believe in the same thing or agree on an issue.
I have nothing against pot smokers (I'm not one anymore). I believe in moderation, and I think that if it doesn't affect your day to day living that there's nothing wrong with it.
On another note, I've seen people get drunk and get into major fights with other people...I've never seen someone smoke a joint and then go out and pick a fight.
Just my opinion.

Pot is like alcohol (although illegal). Some people can handle it OK--like in moderation--and some can't get enough, like alcoholism. In most cases, it (and alcohol) are used to forget about your problems (if only for a little while), or to escape them entirely (which is not possible, but this is where the trouble comes in). In general, smoking pot:
1) Is illegal.
2) Is fun, in moderation
3) Leads to burn holes in your clothes (from the seeds popping and dropping onto them)
4) Leads to weight gain (due to the "munchies").
5) Can lead to harder drugs, e.g. cocaine, heroin, Dilaudid, codeine, etc.--that's why they call it a "gateway" drug.
6) Is expensive.
7) The smoke gets in your clothes, in your hair, and on your body, and other people can smell it. (Although not as bad as tobacco)
8) Makes you not care about anything--just lying around the house, not motivated to do anything, becoming a "couch potato",--in general, becoming a sloth.
9) Can cause lung cancer, and/or emphysema.
10) And, in some occasions, getting some especially strong stuff, smoking too much, and having a "bad trip"--paranoia, a feeling that you're going to die, fear, sometimes tearing things up, calling the ambulance for help, etc.--No fun. Ruins your day. And can,
11) Get you arrested and thrown into jail or prison
.
Does that help??

I think it's a stupid thing to do. I have friends who do it and hey, if you want to do that to your body, just remember that you have to pay for it down the road. I'd rather not pollute my body and perform illegal acts when there's really no need for it. People should get enjoyment out of life, not a drug.

Done it for 40 years and find it to be a better solution than medication for many things (anxiety, stress, muscle spasms, depression, chronic pain)
Don't judge what you don't understand and have little or no personal experience with.

I do it. And I'm a productive member of society. I use to look down on it for years. But I do it in moderation at home.
