When I didn't have to get spanked before saying thank you. I always made school harder than I should. Lots of spankings.I refrained due to such a young age and the spot light being on me. I panicked and couldn't say anything with everyone watching. So, I would get a spanking.
I've actually had some time off from work and you have no idea how thankful I am for that. It was unexpected.

I don't know about it being fun, but saying "Thank you" means that you appreciate what someone has given you and I don't see the need why anyone should refrain from saying it. Lately, I am just thankful to God for waking me up in the right frame of mind and for giving me another chance at life to make it right with him so one day I'll end up in heaven.

1. I leaned very early that saying "thank you" got me approval. As for the FUN part, though, it was the first time I thought to say "Thank you!' brightly when someone had been attempting to insult me

2. Uhhhhh.....you got me there.

3. Lately? That the infection in my tooth is clearing up (pretty much gone) so I am off the dreaded narcotic pain pills (icky), and that my hubby and rest of my family and friends have been loving and concerned and supportive though it.

And patient with me while i was loopy from the drugs.

1) Being thankful isn't "fun" like jelly wrestling is fun... but it is a form of self gratification. It makes me feel warm and fuzzy. I must have been thankful for things as a child.

2) No excuses really and lacks consideration. I think everyone suffers from this from time to time.

3) I'm very thankful for Cat's answer which is quite inspiring and insightful. Thanks Cat.

I was truly grateful when my older cousin took me out of a family reunion and bought me a comic book.(my grandmother was furious, and I learned why, the hard way, 20 years later)

I would never accept, nor thank someone, for a gift or favor that had strings attached.

I'm thankful that it's not always raining.

I learned that it was fun to say thank you as a child! My parents would encourage me to say thank you and when I did, the person would reply back saying "you're welcome" with a smile on their face. I enjoyed seeing everyone smile, that made me happy! Nobody should refrain themselves from saying "thank you" it shows appreciation, and you keep your friends and family close to you.
I have been thankful to God, family and friends. They have been their for me.I thank God for giving me patience to deal with my apartment and my fathers operation, which is on the 17th of this month! My boarding-school upbringing drilled manners into me, so I never considered any other way to be. As for being thankful, I'm currently thankful that I learned good manners---it has been my saving grace.
