Accually that is very possible. Our world is made up of at least 11 dimensions which only 5 or 6 have been explained. It is possible that the 7th or higher is the spiritual dimension and some people can see it because they subconsiously know how it works.

The last thing I have heard about different dimensions is that a recent physics theory had calculated the possibility of about 9 dimensions other than the ones we live in. However, the theory also indicated that they had all collapsed and curled up into infinitely small spaces. So, it sounds like those dimensions probably aren't associated with ghosts, (unless its ghosts of things that got squished to death when the dimensions curled up and shrank).
Ghosts might be associated with Wormholes, however. According to some quantum mechanical theories, it might be possible to glimpse things that happened in different time periods or in far away places through "wormholes" that could form in the time/space continuum.
But all of that, despite the fact that they are legitimate scientific ideas, are pretty fringe stuff and completely unproven.

Critics of "eyewitness ghost sightings" suggest that limitations of human perception and ordinary physical explanations can account for such sightings; for example, air pressure changes in a home causing doors to slam, or lights from a passing car reflected through a window at night. Pareidolia, an innate tendency to recognize patterns in random perceptions, can cause people to believe they have seen ghosts. Reports of ghosts "seen out of the corner of the eye" may be accounted for by the sensitivity of human peripheral vision.

Since we can observe the dimensions below ours, why would we be so bold to think there aren't those above ours? I firmly believe that heaven is in a different dimension, and that there is more than one heaven, because the apostle Paul stated he was taken up to the third heaven. I also believe that hell is a lower dimension than we can see, and that it apparently burns.
I do believe that there are spirits which have left their natural estate (dimension) and cause havoc with us here.
These beliefs are biblically based, and I expect they will be disputed, but it's never the less, what I believe.

Most versions of string theory say there are actually about 23 different possible dimensions...
None of them occupied by ghosts as of yet...

Other dimensions exist with us. We are only one of many. Sometimes we get lucky and have "sight" to see these other dimensions. When the veils are the thinnest is the best time.

There's plenty of theories about alternate dimensions, but they're kinda hard to prove definitively.
But ghosts are just make-believe.

There are different dimensions. Don't know if they are identical. It is not ghosts that have been seen, more likely demons, yes demons are real.

There could be (but it's as unprovable as any other similar assertion regarding such things).
