Do any of you think it can save a marriage even when things seem hopeless?

Divine intervention....hmmm....Yes, I do believe in it. I do not claim to understand it.

It would take too long to tell you all the reasons why I believe; so let me just share this....if you knew who I was then, and who I am now, you would see that divine intervention is the only thing that saved me.

God working in our everyday lives. This example happened just this week. A friend found out she had breast cancer, It was caught early but it is a rare form and one of the worst. She is 34 yrs old and was adopted and had no none info about her birth parents. The doctors advised a full mastectomy which happened at the beginning of summer and she has healed well, but bad news is they say now they have to do chemo. Where is the intervention part? Well another friend was researching her biological family and while the parents were not found a grandfather was who just happens to be the head of the cancer clinic here and he specializes in that particular type of cancer. Now that can be of benefit in a couple of ways, healing being one but also reconciliation as another. The way I see it if she does not heal phyisically then she will be able to reconcile with her biological family and God willing both will happen.

For instance, if you were planning on getting on a plane and at the last minute decided not to and then the plane goes down & everyone is killed. Divine intervention. Listening to your gut feeling will lead to divine intervention.

I do.... I have been involved in accidents that should have killed me or at best seriously injured me... and I came out without any more than a scratch or two... I have been within moments of taking an action that latter would prove to have had very serious negative consequences to me had I taken that step... I was only a couple seconds of signing my name and commiting to an action that I very much wanted... A transfer to another ship when I was in The Navy... literaly at the last second the XO came in and asked me to reconcider... he talked me out of it... a couple months latter the ship was attacked by the Israelies in the 67 war... I would have been on the signal bridge and one of those guys was seriously injured in that attack... it could have been me... I traded orders with another guy who was to go to Nam... at the last minute they were canceled by higher authority... no reason given... the other guy had to go... I heard latter that he was killed over there.... I was to take a ride with a guy in a plane going out to lookover a burn area... I had a flat tire... he had to leave before I got there... he went down and was killed.... I had a brake problem on my trailer when I was driving truck... it delayed me so that I did not get to stop where I had planned to spend my down time... it was right where/when the tornado came through that hit Jackson Tenn in 03...The list is much longer.... yea... I believe in divine intervention.

Divine intervention is a tool used by authors when the plot becomes so entangled there's no other way to extract the characters from whatever difficulties they've gotten them into.

Generally it's considered sloppy writing, but it's found frequently in pot boilers and first novels.

It's when God intervenes in our lives.....which is like...always.

Every day on my way to work.....God is there.
Every time I take a breath.....it is God who allows that.
Every time I fly in a plane.....God is there.

He will protect those who are His own....in this life.....until it's time for us to go home to be with Him for eternity
