Most Christians believe that Jesus was the literal son of God, and also God, right? So theoritacly, we could retrieve D.N.A. from Veronicas Veil and clone God? That doesn't sound right to me. Until the Council of Nicea in 325 A.D. the popular belief was that Jesus was a human born of miraculous conception, not God himself. But at the Council, it was decided that from then on out, it would be taught that Jesus WAS God, in human form. The point of this was to mystify Christianity, so it could compete withpopular Greek mythology. Making making Jesus into a God, and adopting the philosophy of the Trinity, the Church would appeal more to pagans who were then multi-theists. It was also at this time that the collection of books that would become known as the Bible (from the Greek 'biblia', meaning 'book') was edited and collated. Before this time, there were literally hundreds of books, epistles, and short stories that were being used to teach Christianity. It was at this time that the

Council decided which books would be included in the Bible, so that there would be a consolidated dogma in Christian teaching. There is no way now to recall the true teachings of Jesus, before the record of his prophethood was adulterated. What do you think?

It is a simple thing to look up on the internet, don't anyone take my (or anyone elses) word on the subject, check for yourself.

Line dancer, Christianity says "The Father, The Son, And The Holy Spirit are ONE". Otherwise, you are all idolators.

True Christians believe what te Bible says about Jesus. Does the Bible say that Jesus is BOTH God and the Son of God? Does that make sense to you? If that were the case, then Jesus would be his own Father AND his own Son.

What does the Bible say? At John 3:17, it CLEARLY says who came to earth? Was it God? Or did he send someone else? That verse says: "For God sent forth his Son into the world, not for him to judge the world, but for the world to be saved through him." So, who came to earth? God or his Son? John 3:17 says it was God's Son.

Who did Gabriel tell Mary she would be giving birth to? God himself? Or God's Son? The verse says at Luke 1:35: "In answer the angel said to her: “Holy spirit will come upon you, and power of the Most High will overshadow you. For that reason also what is born will be called holy, God’s Son." So what would Jesus be called? God or God's Son? The verse says God's Son.

What is the trinity? In a nutshell, there is one God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son (Jesus Christ) and Holy Spirit. The three persons of the Godhead are coequal and co-eternal.

Search as you may, you will not find one scripture that uses the word Trinity, nor will you find any that says that Father, Son, and holy spirit are equal in all ways, such as in eternity, power, position, and wisdom. Not even a single scripture says that the Son is equal to the Father in those ways—and if there were such a scripture, it would establish not a Trinity but at most a “duality.” Nowhere does the Bible equate the holy spirit with the Father.

Mark 14:60
Then the High Priest rose to his feet and questioned Jesus: 'Have you no answer to the accusations that these witnesses bring against you?' But He remained silent and made no reply.
Again the High Priest questioned Him: 'Are you the Messiah, the ** Son of the Blessed One **?' 'I am,' said Jesus; 'and you will see the Son of Man seated at the right hand of the Almighty and coming with the clouds of heaven' ... their judgement was unanimous that he was guilty and should be put to death.

Jesus refers to this messianic prophecy:
Daniel 7:13
I was still watching in the visions of the night and I saw one like a human being coming with the clouds of heaven; he approached the Ancient in Years and was presented to Him. Sovereignty and glory and kingly power were given to him, so that all peoples and nations of every language shoudl serve him, and his soveriegnty was to be an everlasting sovereignty...his kingly power was never to be destroyed.

He was crucified, died and was resurrected. Would a liar be resurrected? And if He claimed to be Son of God and was lying, would he have been taken down from the cross by God (as muslims often claim)? And if the Bible is corrupt why do christians receive the Holy Spirit (acts 2) in response to faith in him when muslims, with an allegedly uncorrupted revelation can't, and some christian healing evangelists, clearly documented, are able to do miracles in the name of the Son of God?

"Until the Council of Nicea in 325 A.D. the popular belief was that Jesus was a human born of miraculous conception, not God himself."
On the contrary, the prologue to the Gospel of John makes clear that Jesus = the Word who was God and was with God. Plus, there's the matter of Thomas' confession of Jesus as his "Lord" and his "God".

"The point of this was to mystify Christianity, so it could compete withpopular Greek mythology."
No, the point of this was to be biblical, reconciling the "one God" of the shema with the fact that the Father, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit are all three represented as God, having characteristics that are applicable to God alone, and having "personhood".

You certainly follow a good train of thought! More precisely, I feel Man, humans have created gods in their own image. To explain the unexplainable. This has been built upon, it has created an industry of religions. God is not human, nor a being. No being could create the universe. Solar systems, galaxies, etc. But to answer the question, where did this all start, Man has created a god.

FYI,

It is not what Christianity says,

It is what God says that is important.

Jehovah said this is my Son.

Jesus said he is the Son, and that Jehovah is his Father.

Paul said to worship the God and Father of Jesus
Peter talks about the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.
John talks about the God and Father of Jesus.

The question is who are you going to believe?

Jesus Himself clearly stated that He is the Son of God. God is above and beyond your silly notion that He can be cloned. You must be joking, right?? All your facts and details are blinding you from the truth. Jesus is God and man; you either believe or not. If you don't, it will be your loss. All your facts and findings will not save you. Believing in Jesus will.

If Jesus isn't God, the pharisees were right to accuse him of blasphemy, so you really shouldn't consider him a prophet.

Here is where you can find the truth about him, assuming you actually care to:

exactly. during that time, Greek believed in gods, sons of gods, god of wind, god of mountains...etc so to convince them about christianity let's bring something similar to their believe, lets tell them that Jesus is the son of God.
