Hi im 23 years old white male from boston and resently moved to bed sty brooklyn new york in a brownstone. Since moving there i gotten non stop look from my neighbors who are all african americans. but all of a sudden about a month ago things got serious men began approaching telling me to move back home that im not welcome. and yesturday a few of he men actually jumped my while i has coming home from work. should i move or should i stick this out. the thing is that i just got to this new job in manhattan and it very easy for me to get to and from work from me location.

Principle is one thing...your face is another. If you are having problems in Bed Sty, I suggest getting out. This has not been a good neighborhood for years. I don't mean 5 years, I meant like 40 years. I would recommend finding a place where you feel safe walking down your street.

I wouldn't move. You have just as much right as the other guys to live there. I would contact the police if they are jumping you or if u live in a condo (i can't tell where u live by ur explaination) tell the manager dude. good luck, stand your ground

i say to get out of there a.s.a.p.
sure you can play tough guy and go "i have a right to live here"
but is it really worth feeling intimidated all the time?
so i say move
theres a lot of really nice neighborhoods in ny

It's best to move.

The thing about NY is that there is more reverse-racism (black on white), then racism in NYC.

The system (city, media, etc) won't support on this.

Hire a real estate agent, and rent the plce.

If I were you I would move ASAP. Gentrification is a pestilence and you are a prime symptom.
