i met this guy a little over two years ago him and i had an instant connection but the timing was all off(he is friends with my x) so time went by and a year later i called to tell him how i felt,he said it was mutual and he had no idea but he started seeing someone,that was 8 months ago, so he has been with this girl for 9 months now , is that a long time?

9 months is a long time for most relationships. Don't break them up, if you are meant to be with this guy, he will eventually be yours
