Tough question to answer. By live up to do you mean that, as a Christian, I live a life that perfectly emulates the life of Jesus, then no, I don't...but if you mean "live up to" as seeking to behave in that way, then yes, I do.
I'm a human being and as such, I make mistakes...I get tired, lazy, angry, depressed...I can be deceived by my own senses and feelings into thinking something that's bad for me is actually good for me. I can get confused by something in the Bible or when another Christian tells me something that doesn't seem consistent with my beliefs. But through it all, I seek to understand and to finally accept that God's plan is better than mine. Can I do that all the time, in every situation...no way...not yet, perhaps never in this lifetime...but I trust him more than I did last year and my acceptance and understanding grows every day.

Okay, the same amount of us that could fit through the eye of the needle.
Why do you ask the same questions over and over?
Christians are not perfect-trust me on that one, I know for certain because I am a Christian.
The fact that we try to live our lives as Jesus asked us is our only saving grace, it is only because we believe that we can sacrifice what we really feel like doing for what we know we should be doing, and only Jesus can change our human reaction to Christian reaction. It is a day-to-day fight against our own nature, and a world that believes in only what can be seen.
Through Christ we are able to develop compassion and understanding for others, as well as for ourselves.
Matthew 22:37 "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: "Love your neighbor as yourself." All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments."

I don't claim to be perfect, I make mistakes. My goal is to basically do my best as a fallible human being to change my world for the better. I try hard to please the God I serve who is, I am quite thankful to know, a forgiving and gracious Saviour.
Simply put, I'm not judgemental, I know nobody's perfect and nobody ever will be, but I will share where I found my hope in this shattered world and I will not be afraid to say it is God who keeps me going. I don't lecture anyone, preach to anyone .... I just share what I have. Accept it or not... it's not up to me.

I have never said I am a role model for Christians. I have never heard any Christian on this thread make claims they are Godly.
So I give the Christians that come here an "A " for honesty.
They seem to be pretty good people!

I am a Christian, but am very quick to admit I fail to live a spotless life. Sometimes, I succeed; other times, I fail. Actually, the Bible says that any Christian claiming to be without sin is a liar.

The question is: Do we aspire to be like Christ, and do our best?
Yes: I do.
Do I belive the word of God rather than the anti-religious culture I now find myself in?
Yes: I do.
Am I willing to be ridiculed for speaking the truth?
Yes: I am.
Have I fallen short?
Yes: I have.
Do I pick myself up and try again, with heaven as my goal?
Yes: I do
EDIT: See all the answers here? These people aregreat examples of humility - willing to admit they fall short. I must say that I rarely see that quality in athiests. They have a smug arrogance that's quite distasteful.

I know I fall far short of what I desire to be. Most of us Christians will give you the same answer. I know that I am not perfect, sometimes I lose my temper, I'm sarcastic, impatient, critical, selfish and lazy, but I know what I should be and I try my best.

I know I don't, we try to live the perfect example of Peace, Love and Forgiveness that Jesus gave, but we are still human and we still fall short.
Christians do not claim to be perfect, we claim to try every day to be better and better people using Jesus as our example.
Peace be with you!

We never live up to them fully but we do try very hard.
None of us are "good" and I can live up to that because
we all know we are not perfect but we have been made righteous through Jesus Christ and that is a gift of God.
We all fall short
