I live in arkansas. The law here states that after I've taken my permit test, and wait 30 days, then I can take my drivers test, THEN, I can officially have a drivers license. Is there any possible way that I can obtain a license before that six month period? I have taken the permit test already but the permit that I first got expired before I could renew it. They said that if I could show that I still had the permit then I would be ok. but it's been a year since I got it and I can't find it anywhere. Could I possibly get another copy of it somewhere?

nope.... once a learners permit expires, it's gone and done. you have to retest. the only way you can get around the waiting period is if you've had a drivers license before, then you can take both tests the same day. other than that... looks like you have to wait

You misread the law. You must have a learners permit for 6 months (not 30 days) before you can take the regular license test if you are under 18. The DMV MAY have a copy of your permit. I have included a link to getting the license. Just click on the link.
