Nonsense! The first thing a guy notices is looks (as is the first thing girls notice). After they get to know the girl personality becomes more and more important. If you think that 99% of guys only care about the looks of a girl and not the personality then you are hanging with the wrong guys.

Not 99% percent hun, there are more than 1% that care about a girl's personality. Some guys are shallow, some only want sex, but when you find the ones that want an honest relationship, they are the ones who look at all of you, not just your physical appearence.

now considering there are roughly 5 billion men in this world, and u say with authority that 99% of them only care about looks, well then i must say u have been a busy lil beaver checking them all out, haven't u? or has the few barflys u've dated been that way?
quit catagorizing men and they will quit catagorizing you.
beauty is only skin deep and skin is thin.
after a few yrs the "assets" a woman has will be going south faster than niagra falls.
Men u have never met, and with your attitude never will, look more at personality than you think...ur just looking for real men in all the wrong places...but i bet that never occured to u did it.

I guess I am that 1% of men, because its not all about the looks of a girl, but about her personality, goals in life, up bringing, and morals. Call me old school.
But I look at it this way, the entertainment industry puts focus on a girls outer appearance, and these "childish men" are taking all that in at an early age with no one to help them understand its just entertainment. So they carry that into their adult age and it ruins good hearted wemon.
Let me sum it up this way, why would you want to swim in a shallow pool when you are 6ft tall... translation, a guy that only focuses on an outer appearance is shallow, why would you want to be with him anyway if you are higher than he.

a lot of time, its cause guys are driven by what they see. like the first person said, physical attractiveness is part of a first impression.
I am a christian and don't judge a girls personality by her appearance. there are girls at school who are attractive but they're stuck up and mean. the less attractive girls(not the ugly ones, the ones that just aren't as attractive as the hot ones) usually are really nice. they like to have fun and aren't caught up so much in how they look. the ugly ones are usually mean since a lot of guys don't like them and it puts them in a bad mood all the time. not all of them, just most of them. im good friends with all three types and we are friends based on personality,morals, values, things we have in common, etc. that friends are. i really don't care how she looks, if shes a jerk, i don't want to be her friend.

I'm a guy, and here's what I look for in a girl:
1. A pretty face (75% of first impression, 10% of overall)
2. A nice a** (15% of first impression, 10% of overall)
3. Nice rest of body (5% of first impression, 5% of overall)
4. A great personality (5% of first impression, 75% of overall)
Notice there are two categories: first impression (short run) and overall (long run).
Obviously, this is just an approximation I came up with. Personality includes: non-smoker, caring, honest, fun-loving, intelligent, and down-to-earth

we are ***** hun that is how it is... i know it sucks but wat can u do? we live in a world that become more and more obsessed about the looks on the outside than anything else. i try so hard though to look with my heart instead of my eyes becuase i know this question to b true. If someone thought u were ugly or somethin then **** them. what do they know? no, wait even better what do they see?! nothing good just off the get go what losers. No worries mate!

well when u first meet the girl u want her to be attractive and so therefore you look at the looks of the girl. but later on the personality becomes more important as time goes on. so not all guys are like this.

haha most of the time its 50 50 with guys on which girls they date and stuff but for me in 75 percent personality 25 percent looks and guys sorta get judgeded about which girls they go out with so thats sorta why
