I got a peice of dust stuck on the inside of my digital camera lense and it shows up as a spec in many of the photographs i take. Is there anyway to remove this peice of dust safely on my own or are there any national camera chains that can clean the inside of a camera lense without costing me an arm and a leg? by the way the camera i am reffering to is just a point and shoot sony cybershot.

never use canned air on a digital camera. if it spurts the liquid out it can ruin the electronics. is the cam under warranty? take it to a local camera shop and ask them for help. and are you sure its in the lens not the viewfinder?

Take it in for service. Anything you try will likely exacerbate the problem. Let a trained service tech cure the problem.

try and use canned air. it should work. if not, call up sony, and ask them. my dad has a cannon, and he calld cannon about it, and they told him to send it in. he did, and they got rid of it for him. they did somthing to it, and replaced a few parts i think. anyway, the spot is gone, and he's all happy now. hope this helps.

Have you tried using canned air? Sometimes just the force of the air coming out of the can will dislodge it and blow it out.
