Means it doesn't matter if you live to be 100 yrs old, if you didn't love people deeply and let them love you, then you had a life of sub-par quality.

Just because a person is getting older doesn't necessarily mean that they're getting smarter. Someone can live a long time and still not accomplish anything noteworthy, whereas other people may only live a short time, but manage to pack that time full of genuinely meaningful experiences. It's not about how long you live, but how well you live. If you're old and haven't managed to learn anything new, or figured out how to get along with your fellow humans, then what kind of a life do you really have?

Some of these answers are stupid and childish but others are very good. Nothing about the bible in it, it's about life, almost pagan. It means, not how long I live, but the quality in my life. The answer about the ability to love and to be loved is very good.
