What do you think about nuclear power?

It is a relatively clean source of energy. There are techniques to make reactors fail-safe (unlike some early models built in the 50's). There are also methods for recylcing fuel to reduce the amount of high-level waste.

I wish we (as a society) would build more nuclear power plants.

Unless we can sort out how to handle the waste, nuclear power will not grow as a percentage of US electrical energy output.

i think its an awesome source of energy, and i think that if people were concerned about the environment, they would all turn to nuclear power and stick the waste in barrels lined with lead. then coat the lead in zinc or something so it doesnt leak into the soil. why did no one ever consult me?
