every time u feel like giving up remind urself why u have to stick to the diet....the beautiful body that u gonna get as a result of it. that should keep u going.
if u exercise as well, u'll reach ur goal faster than dieting only

I agree with Hastl. It's a lifestyle change. I chose to no longer eat meat, dairy and other junk. I realized that my body is indeed a temple of God and have chosen to eat whole real foods as close as possible as to what God made them. I read labels. I make conscious decisions about what I eat and what is good for my body. Sure, I'm human and there are times when, say, white bread is better than no food at all. I've become even more conscious of what I eat since my pregnancy. I have switched little things, like going from conventional ketchup to organic ketchup. After all, what I eat, she eats.

It's not easy at first, of course. Especially when you have friends and family who live on junk. However, it's worth it. My husband, whose habits still need to be worked on, is impressed with how well I've taken care of myself and our baby during my pregnancy. Unfortunately, I've just not been exercising. Lack of good walking shoes. When I thought I had a good pair, from a company that used to be reliable (Converse, but I think they've been bought out by Nike since I bought my last pair 10 years ago) it turned out I didn't and I couldn't afford a new pair. Ugh.

Anyway, I'm in good health and my baby is in good health due to some lifestyle changes that occurred two and a half to three years ago.

baby steps, exercise, and determination. A diet is not something that you turn off and on. It is a way of life, you change your eating habits, and your way of thinking about food.
