First you want to get people to listen to you without hanging up. I suggest being sweet and sincere. Don't just read off of a card. People will listen to you more if you talk to them in a friendly, normal conversational manner. Try and hit them with the three best benefits of the card right off the top, then go on to explain the other details.

Is this your job? I'm not clear as to why you're asking, but I'll answer just the same.

I think you should concentrate on the benefits and perks for the card. Does it have rewards programs like frequent flyer miles, cash back, is it connected to a sports team, etc. If it has no annual fees or if balance transfers are eligible to a 0% APR for the first year, you might also point out that information.
Just be kind and tell the truth. There's nothing worse than someone who is dishonest.
Good luck!

Only call idiots cause only an idiot would give personal information out to some stranger who called on the phone.

My father had an excellent rule. Never buy anything from someone who calls on the phone or knocks on the door. I've added unsolicited email.
