Well if you are talking about what to look for, there are a few good walk through websites that help. You will want to do research on the car you want to buy as well as other comparable vehicles for price comparison.

As far as doc, it will depend on if you are buying from a dealer or a private seller. Dealers usually handle the paperwork, but it's still a good idea to bring a dealer worksheet to make sure the number don't change when you get into the finance office. You can email for specific questions. Good Luck and I will leave you a few links:

Before buying a car, you should do your research. Check out sites like
www.myproductadvisor.com and do some research and comparisons. Also check out www.nada.com, www.kbb.com, www.caranddriver.com and www.consumerreports.com.

Then before you make your final decision, drive the car. Don't just take it around the block, actually drive it! Try to take it without the salesperson too. This will help you to develop your own personal opinion of the car and not what they want you to notice.

Final docs will probably be stuff like your drivers license and bank approvals.

Best of luck!

It all depends on whom you are purchasing the vehicle from?

From a dealer, they will handle it all.

From a private party: Ensure you have a signed title! A receipt (in case you paid under estimated value so you don't get screwed on lic tax). Once you get home immedietly go to the Department of Lic and report the vehicle sold so that it is in your name right away. If at all possible get the sellers drivers lic# to ensure they are actually the owner of the vehicle.

Goodluck!

You will need your driver's license, proof of insurance on the car if you financed it, and your checkbook.
