My place of business is going to have a luncheon for me because I would have been there 25 years in September.
I might have dollar roll sandwiches and maybe some fresh fruit and maybe some cupcakes for dessert.
Can anyone else give me some other suggestions as to what food I should have?
The times of the luncheon are 11:30-1:30 p.m. during a Saturday.
Do you think it would be a good idea to have a raw vegetable tray with dip also?

Congrats on the 25 years! That's quite an accomplishment! I think a raw veggie dip and maybe some chips with a few different dips would be nice with your dollar roll sandwiches and fresh fruit. You could set up some sort of "nacho" bar with different types of chips, dips, and toppings. I had some at a fair once and it was crispy chips topped with cheese, sour cream, bacon bits, and chives. Just like a baked potato but on chips. Delish! This chip bar could be a fun and easy addition to little sandwiches. Add the fresh fruit tray, the veggie tray, and cupcakes and there ya go...instant party! Good luck and congrats, again!

The fresh veggies will be good,I would have a large green salad and a lot of salad items next to it.Like a mini salad bar.Do a meat and cheese tray with sliced rolls in a basket so they can make their own sandwich. The fruit sounds good also.I would do brownies and cookies over the cupcakes, they can get messy.Do a tray of pretzel sticks with olives, salami, tomatoes, and cheese on them they are easy and good.Congratulations on the milestone you are passing in your job....

Am I understanding this right? You've been there for 25 years and you have to bring the food??? Tacky, at best. Don't bring anything else than what you've already planned. You'd think they would pitch in to congratulate YOU instead of you basically throwing your own party. Gah.
