I bought a pair of russian dwarf hamsters a few hours ago, named Toffee and Treacle. Their cage as tubes in it, and when I put the hamsters in, I put in some stuff for bedding. But now the hamsters are asleep together in the tubes, and have ignored the bedding. I dont have anything for a bedroom yet for them, is this the problem? Which bedrooms/house would you suggest for them? I need something available in the UK.

They will sleep wherever they feel safe . The tubes are fine.

Give them a little cardboard box and they may make a nest in it. Try giving them a few pieces of toilet paper for nice bedding.

Its perfectly fine that the hamsters sleep in the tubes, it is just where they feel they are safe and can sleep peacefully. Do not try to get them to sleep somewhere else. Let them sleep in the tubes, it is obviously more comfortable to them.

I had a hamster that liked to sleep in a tube. Hamsters in the wind dig tunnels and sleep in them, so I guess the tubes are more like the tunnels and they just like it better.

It's fine--don't worry about them :).
One thing you can do is give them a nesting box (cutting a tissue box in two pieces works well, just cut a hole in one of the pieces and put it in the cage).
But until then, they'll be fine sleeping in the tubes.

they just like to curl up in enclosed spaces to sleep is all. animals can be finicky about things, so even if you got them a bedroom they might still choose to curl up inside the tubes.

they will sleep in various places, and no matter what you do it's up to them.
