Has he been checked by a speech therapist or at least by a doctor to know their is not a real reason for this? Sometimes if you pressure a child about their speech, it makes it harder on them.If it bothers the child, let him practice saying la,la,la,la and ro,ro,ro,ro. If it doesn't bother him, if there is really nothing medically wrong that keeps him from pronouncing these right, back off. He may get straightened out himself.

Take your concerns to his school (even if he's homeschooled you can go to the district). You have the right to an evaluation by a speech therapist. Talk to his teacher about it.

I recommend to let the speech therapist evaluate him and see where he is standing. Since he is young, you may be able to get help him versus if he was older.
So get him evaluated immediately.
Good luck!
