ok, i know that sounds stupid lol but he keeps dumping waay to much fish food in the tank when he feeds them. i dont know how the fish arnt dead yet
(actually 2 of the frogs we had in there are dead)

the fish tank used to be in his office where he fed them & "took care of them". since they never died he thinks he did good.
the tank that was in his office was MUCH bigger & had a better filter than the one thats in my room now.
my dad is a stubborn pain in the butt & randomly comes in my room 2 feed the fish that ive most likely fed yesterday. he likes the idea that hes taking care of the fish & its because of him (& him alone) that theyre still alive.

ugh... any ideas what i could do? im all out for this one.

Well it seems like he's doing a good job if they haven't died...yet.
If it really bothers you then just tell him to cut back on the amount he pours in.

Calmly let him know that he's overfeeding your fish, and you'd prefer that he didn't because the fish could die. Show him the fish food container and the recommended amount to feed them per day. If he continues, tell him that you'd like to move the tank into your room for a little while.

maybe find an article on line about overfeeding fish and print it for him? some people don't know a thing about fish, or pets in general.

let him know he can look at the fish, but you've got a schedule to feed them already.

i dont' know what else to say?

close your room and keep that food in a place where he does't know where it is. and let him know that you want to be responsible for your fish. and if he is doing that he is not letting you be responsible. That will make him stop. Oh buy him his own fish that he can keep in his room.lol.

Maybe try hiding the food so he can't feed them.
That's what I would do.

Tell him to stop, unless he wants to flush them all down the toilet!
