To get good results you have to lose weight slowly!
You should decide how many calories you want in your diet, and then I would recomend looking for items that are low calorie, but also low fat, but it all depends on what you are doing for your diet. The main thing for a diet to work is just to consume fewer calories than what you are burning, so lower calorie is best. But the thing about just lower calorie is that you don't want to get something that is lower calorie, but still has a ton of fat, and you don't want to get something that is low calorie but with a ton of sugar. Just look at the labels and you need to figure out what fits into YOUR diet.

I have lost almost 25 pounds in about 2 months on the 3 hour diet.
1. Wake up whenever, and eat a 400 calorie breakfast.
2. 3 hours later, (only if you got up 6:00 am or earlier), eat a 100 calorie snack.
3. 3 hours later, eat a 400 calories lunch.
4. 3 hours after that, eat a 100 calorie snack.
5. Then, 3 hours later, eat a 400 calorie dinner (estimate calories if you have to)
6. anytime after dinner, eat a 50 calorie treat

We bought the book for the 3 hour diet at Barnes and Noble. But you can buy it here... It's the 2nd book, and it's orange. It has good recipes and tips for eating at school. It's a good deal, $16.00 unless you order something else that equals over $25 then you save about $6.

You should try it, it really does work, but it can get expensive. I eat frozen lunches in the summer because it's much easier than making anything. For dinner, I usually estimate the amount of calories, especially if I go out to eat. I hope this helps!

Umm well there is pros and cons to quick fix diets.
pros-you see results fast, feel great, and love your new look
cons-loose skin, at first feel tired and run down, i did low carb and caused kidney stones which is prolly the worst pain i have ever felt and the pain has been compared to child birth , low carb also caused me to be mal nourished. See the quick diets are fine for a short amount of time if they deny you food groups but if you eat all food groups in the diet i think you'll be ok plus you must do weights and aerobics in your plan.
some diets to try
-Low carb if this contains no fruit or grain only be on it for 2 1/2 months if they are in it you should be able to go on it for as long as you want
-low calorie- do 1200 calories a day and you will lose a reasonable amount of weight

If you want to lose the weight healthily and actually keep the weight OFF you cannot do it quickly. Losing weight quickly is hazardous to your health and it's much harder to keep that weight off as well. Not to mention that if you lose weight too quickly it can also be difficult for your skin to adapt and you might end up with a lot of loose skin. A lot of people have their own opinions on what makes a good diet. To me, depriving yourself entirely of food you usually eat and love is ridiculous and will make you crazy. You should limit yourself with that food but not eliminate it completely. You SHOULD eat as many dark green vegetables as you can and try not to eat an excess of potatoes and dairy. Also try switching meats...instead of eating a lot of red meat (if you do) try focusing more on poultry and fish. Drink TONS of water. It will help your body in every way.

If you don't exercise also you're really going to have trouble losing weight.

Also, NEVER starve yourself. The more you deprive your body of food, the more it will overcompensate and try to retain water and fat to keep you healthy. Always satisfy your hunger.

Instead of eating 3 huge meals a day, try a few smaller meals and lots of healthy snacks in between.

Eat more fruits and vegetables. Cut out soda, juices, and other caloric drinks-- substitute with water or sparkling water (add a lemon wedge for flavor). Cut out heavy sauces and condiments like creamy sauces, mayonnaise, sour cream, heavy cream, etc. -- subsititute with tomato sauce, oil and vinegar for salads (careful with the oil-- limit a teaspoon per 1 cup salad), mustard or hummus spread for sandwiches, etc. Limit the amount of full fat dairy and cheese you eat-- substitute with reduced/low fat versions. Snack on yogurt (try Fage 2% greek yogurt-- its the best) and fruits and veggies, like an apple with 1 tbsp peanut butter. Eat lean meats-- like grilled/broiled/baked chicken, turkey, and fish. Avoid red meat and fried foods. Cut out junk foods!! Make sure to eat 3 light meals and eat light snacks when hungry.

There you go-- my diet tips in a nutshell.

Well, sweetie, are you 5'2" or 6'2"?

None of the answers I saw above dealt with that.

Cut out the bread, rice, pasta and you'll see your weight fall dramatically (If you really stick to it). You can do it for 2 weeks... if you like what you see, do it for longer. But be true to yourself.
